Am I allowed to drive myself home after surgery? scpimaCrossing
If you receive anesthesia for your operation, you must have a responsible adult present to drive you home and to care for you following surgery. Your ability to drive may also depend upon the type of procedure or operation you are having done. If you have further questions regarding this, please ask your doctor or call the center to speak with a nurse.
Can I take my blood thinner medications or aspirin prior to my surgery? scpimaCrossing
For your safety, it is extremely important that you do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your operation, unless otherwise instructed by your surgeon. This includes no hard candy, gum, or mints.
How early should I arrive before my scheduled surgery time? scpimaCrossing
We ask that you check-in with our front desk a minimum of 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to your scheduled surgery time. It is important that you have enough time to fill out any required paperwork and that we have enough time to prepare you for your surgery.
